While so much attention is placed on the current Foreclosure and Short Sale influences that affect our values and the associated perceptions, we must also consider what is going on in our upper-end market in places such as Bel Air because that is part of the story of Los Angeles that grabs far fewer headlines.

Using the statistics furnished by the Multiple Listing Service (the MLS) for the month of April within the entire Bel Air Market, we can certainly see signs of recovery in the volume of sales, the averages in price per square foot and in the prices themselves.
